The Blue Ridge Hospice Bereavement Department routinely offers work shops and grief and loss series including but not limited to:
Safe Passage
An 8-session, closed series that focuses on growth through grief in a safe, non-judgmental environment. This series is open for any person who has experienced the loss of a loved one and will address areas of concern typically experienced within the first 18 months. This group is offered throughout the year.
Drop-In Grief Support Group
This group is open to both hospice families and the community at large. It is designed for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, and is looking for a safe and supportive environment to discuss their loss. The content will consist of both discussion as well as education on grief and loss. Each meeting will examine a new component of grief and the journey towards healing.
Drop-In Pet Loss Support Group
Appropriate for anyone who has experienced the loss of a pet.
Unspoken Goodbyes
A place of comfort, encouragement and healing for survivors of sudden and traumatic loss.
Holiday Bereavement Workshops
Offered annually in Woodstock and Winchester. Previous workshops have been designed to address individual's special needs as they prepare for a holiday season without their loved one.
Community Workshops
Provide crisis intervention and Debriefing opportunities. Include Grief Education Seminars and offer support for the community at large.
