Blue Ridge Hospice sends its staff into each patient’s environment in order to assist with patient care and to provide pain/symptom management. Quality service is the organization’s primary goal. Any patient or family member with concerns or suggestions regarding the safety or the care provided by us is encouraged to make these known.  Patients/family are free to voice complaints and recommend changes without being subject to coercion, discrimination, reprisal, or unreasonable interruption of care, treatment, and services.


The logical first action on the part of a patient or patient family is to address concerns and suggestions with the primary nurse or Medical Social Services worker assigned to the patient’s care. Most issues can be resolved on this level.


Should dissatisfaction continue despite this effort, the patient or family is asked to contact:

It is our policy to investigate complaints and suggestions and to provide a written response to the individual making them within 30 days.
