Blue Ridge Hospice…Your Community Hospice
- Not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) healthcare organization
- Founded by two Winchester residents 30 years ago
- Currently serving over 200 patients and their families EACH DAY
- Patients range from newborn to elderly with life-threatening illnesses
- Hospice services are provided to everyone, regardless of ability to pay
- Services offered include:
- Inpatient Care Center – acute care 24 hours a day
- Residential Care
- Grief and loss support provided at no charge to our community, schools, and businesses
- Spiritual support – Chaplaincy Services
- Music Therapy and Pet Therapy
- Palliative Care – specialty care focused on relieving symptoms and patient suffering
- Grief workshops including a free overnight camp for grieving children
- Education and outreach to the community on end of life
Show your support of Blue Ridge Hospice
Your sponsorship will directly support the Patient Care Fund – a charity fund available to patients and families unable to pay for hospice services. Last year, Blue Ridge Hospice provided $208,000 in charity care. Your sponsorship will help give everyone compassionate comfortcare and dignity at the end of their lives. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for our Patient Care Fund. Your sponsorship will allow Blue Ridge Hospice to provide patients and their families throughout our communities, the most skilled, compassionate care and support possible.
