Gifts In-Kind
In-kind donations are also appreciated by Blue Ridge Hospice. This could include contributions of equipment, supplies, or other tangible items apart from financial contributions. In-kind donations may also include use of facilities or services.
Gifts of Stock
Giving Stock is a wonderful way to invest in the future of hospice, and provide a significant tax benefit to you. Read about how you can give stock.
Gifts of Real Estate
If you have owned your home, a vacation home, acreage, or farm for many years, a charitable gift of real estate would benefit Blue Ridge Hospice and could provide a tax advantage for you.
Gifts of Life Insurance
If you own a life insurance policy that is no longer needed, consider it as the perfect charitable gift.
Bequests
We hope you will consider a charitable bequest in your will-to benefit hospice while you save estate tax dollars at the same time.
Thrift Shops
There are several ways to give through our thrift shops. Become a shopper, donor, or volunteer. Proceeds from our thrift shops directly benefit Blue Ridge Hospice. We feel honored to provide hospice care to any patient, regardless of his or her ability to pay. Our thrift shops are one way we make this service possible. By accepting donated items, we assist those who wish to donate belongings they no longer need.
Volunteering As a Blue Ridge Hospice volunteer, you will become an important part of the hospice team. Whether you choose to work directly with our patients and families, in one of our thrift shops, or by providing community service, you will be making a difference in someone's life.
Special Events
You can support Blue Ridge Hospice by attending or participating in any number of special events held throughout the year. Some of our special events include our Annual Bereavement Conference and our 5K Walk/Run.
